Here are some actions you can take now to publicize your business on the internet WITHOUT having your own web site:

Set up your mini "websites"

On Facebook:

• Sign up for Facebook. Create your personal profile, and start collecting some friends.
• Create a Facebook page for your business.

On Google:

• Sign up (or sign in) to your Google account
• Add and verify your business on Google Places

On Shop, Stay & Play (if you're a Lake County, CA resident)

• Sign up (or sign in) to your account on Shop, Stay & Play
• Add your business profile to the Shop, Stay & Play Website
• Add a deal or an outrageous deal to attract customers to your business.

Publicize your "mini websites":

On Facebook:

• Invite your friends to "Like" your Facebook page
• Commit to posting 1 update a day to your wall - see which updates inspire comments, and respond to these comments.

Via email (or in print)

• Point your customers to your Facebook page or your Google place page
• Ask a question in your email newsletter, then point them to your Facebook, Google and/or Shop, Stay & Play page depending on the audience you want to attract.
• Ask your friends and customers for referrals. Get them to write reviews on your Shop, Stay & Play profile to grow your presence in Lake County, and on your Google Places page to build your image nationally.
